Amy Ingalls is an Orton-Gillingham tutor at the Certified Level with the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. She received her BA in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Masters in Learning Disabilities at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Amy worked at The Fletcher School, a private school for children with learning disabilities, for 15 years. She was a classroom teacher, Director of Summer Programs and the Tutoring Coordinator. Amy has tutored using the Orton-Gillingham approach for the past 17 years.
Amy tutors students in grades K-8 in reading decoding, fluency and comprehension, spelling and written expression. Individual tutoring sessions last between 45 and 55 minutes and take place during the school day or after school.
